    Polo R WRC Street Concept

    This looks pretty cool.

From motor racing to the street is the motto of the VW Polo R WRC Street concept car. At 2012 Wörthersee, Volkswagen will be presenting for the first time a preview of an extremely sporty small series, which is due to be launched in late 2013. With its highly unique and distinctive design, this model cuts an impressive figure with its rear spoiler, diffuser, sports suspension and an inscription with R-WRC logos. A powerful 162 kW / 220 PS 2.0 litre TSI produces motorsport-like performance.

Hmmm, not feeling that. The black guards make it look like an SUV. Might look better in the flesh.

All looks a bit straighty 180....Needs some guard flaring...

With that power to weight though, going to be a pocket rocket...
to replicate the effect you'd have to push the pedal extremely fast to at least 50% throttle, and then fast, but not quite as fast as before to say 70-75%, and then a bit slower to say 85% - all in the time it takes me to push my pedal down 20-25% max

Looks too 4wd with those black guards. If they were white, and proper flares that would be awesome. Still interested in trading up to one if they come out in oz

Yeah the gloss black flares are a bit much, you barely notice them at first. I guess the full production version will still be different but.

The full WRC version looks way better

THey love black guard flaring for their Wothersee specials. 2010 GTi had the same treatment...

I'm not sure about that black guard flare - makes the wheel arch look bigger and in turn makes me want to yell ... Moooaaaaar LOW!

I'd have the WRC Polo. That looks insane. Lose the spoiler and roof scoop (as well as cage and rally gear) but have the rims etc. from the Polo R concept, would be winner. WRC flares and all!

Love the style of the current model Polo. The dinky looking wheel arch trims wont make it to production thankfully.
Its about time they gave it the engine it deserves though! No more of this twin charger stuff
