Advice on helping me choose new rims!

    Hey guys,

Finally got some money together to put a new set of 18" or 19" on my mk5 GTI. I love the look of the VMR wheels. Would love some advice/help in choosing some that would look best. My GTI isnt lowered and I dont plan to in the near future.

Almost all the wheels on this page I like but Im leaning towards either the V708, the V710, or the V713.

Really appreciate the feedback in advance!

    Cheers.

701 in 19" or 713 in 18" imo, darker colour too if your GTI is white

The 19" 710's look amazing on the MKV body shape, but decent tyres are quite pricey and there may be some loss of ride comfort.

The 18"s are a great compromise!

    I'd go 710's in 18"

708's are a bit plain and are just replica's of an OEM wheel.

701's are nice too, bit more aggressive looking.

If you've got a slightly angled side shot of your car i can knock up a quick photoshop for you.

Awesome. Thanks for the opinions guys.

I recon its down to either the 710's and the more i look at the 701's the more i like them.

Brad - Is that ur ride in the photo? If so, what rims have u got on there? they look a lot like the 710's.

Scruff - Im not too bad at the photo shop myself so i might knock up a few renderings. Thanks heaps for the offer tho.

Yeah, they are the same as the VMR 710's, same factory and all, just without the VMR badge. I picked these up from eBay for $1k and am still very happy with them.

There is a sponsor on here now (euro concepts or something like that) who just ran a VMR group buy and may still be able to do you a good deal.

Ps. My sig below has a hyperlink to my Flickr page with more pics if you are keen.
