Forge Twintake question.

I'm doing a K04 turbo upgrade and I've come across a small hiccup. I need to relocate the DV and unfortunately my Twintake doesn't have the port for the relocation. However it does seem to have a provision for it, see picture :





Anybody know If there's a port adapter available that would suit this intake,

Sorry mate, not sure about your question.
But If you get the Dv relocation all sorted, can you let us know if it changes the harmonics of the intake?
I also have the twintake (mine doesnt have that piece in the photo above) and at certain RPM's it almost sounds like metal scraping which annyos the crap out of me.
I've heard the DV relocation cuts that annoying sound out.

Hey Grant, I emailed Forge about this recently and they said their standard K03 Twintake mates up fine with the K04 and DV (as opposed to buying an Edition 30 Twintake). That port in the photo should be where the the relocated DV plumbs back in.

The EJ intake has a similar provision:

you can buy the optional piece direct from Forge. Either that or when the time comes you could probably drill a hole in the centre of the blanking plate and have a small bung welded on. Buying the genuine piece would probably be cheaper and look cleaner though.

Ive emailed Forge twice without a reply. I'd love to buy a genuine Forge one. Phillipe at Elite Euro will have one fabricated if I have no luck in getting one from Forge. Frustrating though as its only thing holding me up from getting my K04 installed!

I have one sitting at home but cant sell it. So yes there is a Forge item which bolts in there for the DV relocation. I can take a photo for you if needed and see if theres a part number on it.

Reason i cant sell it is because its part of a complete kit for a Scirocco that im trying to sell.

Its pretty basic, so im sure you could have someone fabricate it if need be. Just that oval shaped base with two holes in it and then about 10cm of straight pipe of about 1 inch diameter with a bead on the end.

I'll check it out tonight and report back for you.

I dont recall seeing a part number on it, but i could be mistaken. I'll get back in touch in a few hours.

You could also try and contact Jamie from Forge in the UK - he might be able to sell you this piece you need.
