in a straight line they are comparable but in every other way the pirelli destroys the gtir (GTiR's dont turn in half as well as the golf does and its rough as guts, half the interior gone, nasty short shift kit, no power steering as the front mount piping got in the way of it so on and so forth)

nice pirelli also! they came with ko4 from factory so should punch out bigger numbers than standard GTIs.
was a sad day when i sold the jk, and yea with the bigger turbo, bigger injectors and all the other stronger bits on the pirelli engine, along with the stiffer ride its going to prove a fun car to squeeze more kw's from

its being gone over at a vw workshop today, given a full shakedown, looking into exactly what tune is on it etc etc. fingers crossed.

Congrats on the buy, I think I've seen both your Jeep and the VW around in the East.

Got her back from getting a post sale shakedown, she's in A1 condition for the k's on the clock, has no evidence of a prang or any other issues and if its got a tune like the seller said they could not find it so figure it cant me a re-map. had the computer re-set.

on the cards now is the following

    APR tune for the pirelli
    cold air intake
    downpipe
    3 inch stainless turbo back
some bbs style rims and some potenza's
(still getting my head around the possible fitments, im thinking 18x8 front 18x9 rear et42 or so, perhaps on 225's or 245's not sure about how stanced that will be)

and a bloody cut and polish :P

    will update as funds allow.....

    minor update

just ordered a few bits and pieces from parts4euro.com and elsewhere

    golf R style tailights
forge carbonfibre twintake air intake kit
    eyelids in car paintcode colour
neuspeed carbonfibre engine cover (as she's gonna be all naked after putting the CAI on. and we cant have that )
    few other bits and bobs.

thought I would mention that at the moment on https://www.parts4euro.com you can use the promo code: WORLDCUP2014 for 8% off advertised prices... i saved about a hundred bucks so well worth it. hope someone else can get a bit of a discount with it.

also, neuspeed is a horrible company to deal with.

    much love

Congrats on the purchases, can't say I'm a fan of the R-Look tails, but if you like them so be it.
