    Turn off start stop permanently

    Hi there,
This is a great forum. I really hope you can help me
I have a 2011 VW Golf Bluemotion diesel 5 door hatch.
Great car and I love it but it's killing my batteries - I'm lucky if a battery lasts 2 years and of course costs me $450 a pop.
Does anyone know how too permanently turn off / disable the start stop feature.
Thanks for your time reading this.
    Cheers
    Tony

Call you local VW independent workshop (not dealer), they can disable by changing the voltage of start/stop function.

Are the batteries you are purchasing designed for start/stop?

My MK7 has a plug on the negative terminal of the battery. If yours is the same you should be able to unplug the connector and the stop/start system will no longer activate.
